The 2018 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) will be in effect throughout the state on July 1st 2020. WSU Energy Program will provide a seminar that will focus on current 2015 and commonly misunderstood requirements. An overview of WSEC 2018 proposed changes to the energy code will also be presented and discussed. This course is ideal for building department staff, builders, sub-contractors, architects, and any other building industry professionals wishing to gain a proficient understanding of this code.
About the Instructor: Mr. Lubliner currently works for the Washington State University Cooperative Extension Energy Program. Lubliner provides technical assistance to the 2015 Washington State Residential Energy Code program. He is nationally recognized for research and program implementation efforts associated with single and multi-family site built, manufactured housing and not for profit housing in the areas of; HVAC systems, energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Lubliner has provided technical assistance to the Pacific Northwest Energy Star housing programs, and has been involved in the USDOE Building America and USEPA Energy Star programs for over 15 years. An ASHRAE member for over 30 years, Lubliner is currently a voting member of numerous ASHRAE technical, standards and research committees
